OUR APPROACH TO PHOTOGRAPHY IS SLOW AND THOUGHTFUL –

There are often a lot of moving parts on wedding days, we recognize all the effort that was put into creating your perfect day, and we don't want the photos or video to be a stressful point for you.

The goal is to always create meaningful art out of the moments you will want to look back on and to celebrate the love that brought you to that point.

When working with us, you can expect photos to go smooth and to be laid back, and when you get your full gallery back you'll be able to relive all the beautiful moments of the day in the most authentic way.

If at the end of the day, you want the majority of your photos to be unposed and candid, we're the right fit. We focus on the moment and telling the story of your day, as authentically as we can.

Instead of creating a hard timeline and structuring your wedding around photos, we structure the photos around the wedding, and let the day unfold naturally.

WE MIGHT BE THE RIGHT FIT IF YOU LEAD TOWARDS THE UNTRADITIONAL —

Every couple, and every wedding has different needs and visions, so prior to your wedding, we will sit down and talk about what is most important to you. That way we are intentional in capturing those moments for you and allowing the rest of the day to happen, while we document.

Approaching photos this way, allows you as the couple, to be fully present and in the moments you want captured.

Whether you're getting married at the courthouse and going to a local pub afterwards to celebrate or you have 150 of your favorite people there to celebrate you, our approach remains the same. We want to create meaningful art out of your story and do that in the most authentic way.

our little LIVED IN MOMENTS

INSPIRED BY

Romantic comedies,  old film photographs, vinyl covers, poetry

Most of our story takes place in a little town at the heart of Washington. Both of us having (mostly) grown up here, we've learned that our paths have *nearly* crossed many times before we formally met.  We like to think of the little invisible string that connects us. Now we're married, in a little brick house, with three kids and a puppy.

We've lived little apartments, big town houses, and in an RV from Washington to Connecticut. Each place having been a part of our story.

I'm (Elizabeth) the cliché that has been in love with photography for as long as I can remember and ever the romantic looking for little ways to romanticize life. Isaac is more of the creative old soul, expressing himself through music and various forms of art.

I started what is now By The Coopers, previously Elizabeth Hope Photos,
in 2017 after Isaac gifted me with my first professional camera. At the time we had our first daughter, Emme, I swear I took a million and one photos of the girl.

Every photo and video I've taken since has been a little gift of the past. I'm a nostalgic girl through and through who lays in bed at night and scrolls through my photos and videos.

I'm passionate about sharing the gifts of memories with others.

Whether you're looking to document your wedding or your growing family, we want to ensure you that we understand the magnitude of those moments, big and small.

When you work with us, we promise to treat your moments with as much love and care as we would our own.
